Well, I haven’t been doing this sort of writing anywhere for a few years now, but I recently followed singer/songwriter Belle Plaine here on Substack, and I couldn’t ignore her announcement that she was going to be playing two shows in and around Winnipeg.

I had the pleasure of seeing her live back in 2019 at the Calgary Folk Club, and we chatted about her work and life ahead of that show for my podcast:
I strongly advise you to find the time to catch her while she’s briefly here in Manitoba. She is an excellent storyteller, and even better at melding those stories to melody and voice.
I can’t seem to find a link to a review that should have run in The Calgary Herald at the time, but that was right around the time I was wrapping up my time in Calgary to come back home to Winnipeg.
